Minimum wage and expenses
Since January 2025, the minimum wage has been €12.82 gross per hour. The applicable minimum wage must never be undercut, not even through tax-free expenses.
Working hours and remuneration
You may work a maximum of 10 hours per day. The weekly working time may not exceed 48 hours. Always record your working hours yourself: preferably by taking photos of duty rosters and timesheets. Always compare these with the hourly total on the pay slip. Every hour worked must be remunerated. Time spent in meetings or talks with supervisors, loading and unloading parcels, driving back to the warehouse after the last delivery, telephone calls to dispatchers, etc. also count as working time.
Break
You are entitled to a 30-minute break after 6 hours of work at the latest and a 45-minute break after 9 hours.
Sickness and leave
Even if you do not work because you are ill, you are entitled to continued payment of wages. You are also entitled to at least
four weeks‘ paid leave per year. It is best to apply for leave in writing.
Termination
Notice of termination must be given in writing and the notice period must be observed. If something is not right, you can file an
action for protection against dismissal at a labour court. You only have 3 weeks after receiving notice to do so.
Liability in the event of damage to the vehicle
You are only responsible for the damage to the vehicle if your employer can prove that you are guilty of gross negligence.
